AVERY ATE!

Avery ate some yogurt today! For those who don't know, Avery has been stubborn and hasn't let us feed her solids starting right before we left home. In our third week here, this morning, she finally let me feed her some banana yogurt! While she didn't make it to the bottom of the cup, she did make it about 3/4 of the way!!! I'm super excited about this!

Now we are also working on getting Avery to sleep in her crib. Its a fun challenge. So far I've been able to get her to sleep for about an hour without a crib wedge in the crib.

Hope all is well back home! We miss you all!!!!

{New beginnings}

Hey Everyone!

It's now week 2 here in Longmont, Colorado! We've done some fun things in our new beginnings here! We have visited Boulder, Co a few times and even ventured out to Estes Park (Sorry G- I didn't let you know beforehand! ) It was amazing! Avery seems to love it out here so far! She is crawling all over the apartment and has been attempting to pull up. Also, Avery now has 7 teeth and working on the 8th!! I can't believe how fast our little baby is growing - 9 months!!! We miss all of our family back home, but we are also excited for what the future has in store for us out here!

We couldn't pass up all these terrific "tourist" poses!!

How on earth did this truck make its way here!! hahahaha

We even got a chance to stop at the Stanley Hotel! The Stanley is famous for three things - Most notably, The Shining was filmed here! We couldn't help walk around the grounds saying things like "Here's Johnny!!", "COME PLAY WITH US!", and "REDRUM REDRUM". We got some funny looks! The Shining isn't the only thing the Stanley is known for. Mr. Stanley also invented the Stanley Steamer. Fun fact is that they still have a few on the grounds. The third thing the Stanley is known for is the Paranormal Activity. It has been featured on #ghostadventures!

So, to wrap up our Estes Park trip, we decided to climb up these boulders for a nice picnic. Luckily, we were able to finish our food just as it started to rain - not just a light sprinkle, but a downpour! I of course had the BEST attire on for climbing on boulders.... FLIP FLOPS!!

We are looking forward to many more adventures out in the wild west! Until next time!

XOXOXO
